Product - Anything that can be offered to a market and is usage based.
Plan - A set of products and services that define specific tariffs and terms. A Plan is assigned to a subscriber. Also known as bundle or offer.
Service - Anything that can be offered to a market and is subscriber based (property of the subscriber or account). Also known as addon.
Customer/Account - Account level which aggregates few/many subscribers.
Subscriber - Entity that relates to Customer and has relation one plan.
Discounts - An engine that deducts the price of plan, service and/or invoice, when certain defined conditions are met.
Since version 5.16.0, prepaid uses the same configuration as postpaid. The only difference is the input processor: in prepaid mode it rejects any usage that exceeds the subscriber's plan or service allowance (i.e. out-of-bundle usage), since there is no post-billing credit to draw on.
Custom fields – Add and customize various fields to Product, Service, Plan, Account or Subscriber.
Input processor - mediation manager. The engine that handles the input to the billing system.
Cycle - the monthly billing cycle that aggregates all account usage and generate invoice.
Export generator - manages exporting of information.
Events – triggers for validating, allocating or alerting based on usage and monetary thresholds.
